Art Exhibition
We are excited this year to be collaborating with Girvan Academy on a number of projects, including an art exhibition in the school.
It showcased some amazing art by pupils from every year in the school. The standard of the art was incredible, and it included an amazing tartan project, where a group of pupils competed at Dumfries house in a competition to make a kilt outfit, even making their own tartan!
There was everything from drawings, paintings and collages to screenprinting and costumery.
A few of the artists at the main Art exhibition in the Wee School Art Space hung pieces in the school exhibition. This, and the display of almost 70 of the pupils photographs at the Wee School Art Space made the connection between the two exhibitions.
