QR Code Art Trail 2026
For the third year, in collaboration with Girvan Academy, The Girvan Arts Festival organisers asked the pupils in the Expressive Arts department to come up with a number of locations in Girvan that could be inspirational to photographers, artists. writers and poets, or even sculptors, as seen through their eyes. The pupils then displayed QR codes at these locations around the town, linking the places to to the photographs they’d shot.
We hope that you will visit the 10 sites they photographed, and perhaps be inspired to pen a poem, draw a sketch, write a short story or snap a photograph with your own take on it.
There are even a few photos at the end where the locations are not known. If you think you’ve worked out where they are, please let us know.
We’d be delighted if you’d send in any image you take, a word doc of any prose or poetry you write, or a photograph of any artwork you create. We’ll try and put a collage of any work received on the website before next year’s festival.
