Update – Film Premiere!
We will now be showing the new film, Ballantrae’s Smuggling Story, instead of Contraband Cargo. Commissioned by Andy McAlpine of the Ballantrae History Group, and produced and directed by Craig Bradshaw and Roger Hunter of Epic Sky Media, we’re delighted to invite you to the premiere of the film.
The film is narrated by, and based on the books of Frances Wilkins and continues to document the importance of South Carrick as a smuggling centre.
The Film makers will be discussing the making of the Ballantrae smuggling films, and answering any questions on the amazing AI techniques used to bring the characters to life from old pictures. If you’ve ever seen any of Craig and Roger’s other film work, and wondered how on earth they do it, this is a great chance to pick their brains!
The film will be shown again at this year’s Ballantrae Smugglers Festival (27-30th August) the first since Covid
