Prestwick children’s author Greta Yorke’s story, ‘Witch Hitch’ won the Scottish Association of Writers’ Competition in 2010, but it wasn’t published until 2015, with the wonderful illustrations by Maggie Bolton. Since then, there have been a stream of books, with ‘The Woo in the Wild Woods’ and ‘Tartan Witch’ released in 2016, followed by ‘How the Pirates Turned the Tide’, ‘Elbo the Elf and the Christmas Hulabaloo’, ‘Halloween Quest’, ‘In The Dark’ and ‘The Prickle Picker’.

Originally from Dunoon, Greta inspires children’s imagination telling stories all over Scotland about witches, wizards, and pirates.
