In 2000, Artist Winnifred Wright led a project to sew the Girvan Millenium Quilt, with patches made by local people to try and encapsulate what Girvan meant to to them. She also published The Book of the Quilt which fleshed out details about each square with a little biographical information about the organisations and individuals involved.
25 years on, Winnifred will be hosting a chat about the quilt, and hopes that there will be some informal discussion about its future and where its legacy sits.
